Where are the conference sessions and workshops being held?
Conference sessions and workshops are held at the McCormick Tribune Campus Center, beginning on Thursday, August 7 through Friday, August 8, 2008.


Registration

When does conference registration begin?
Conference registration opens on Friday, April 18 at 12:00 p.m.

How much does registration cost?
On or before June 30, the cost of registration is $250.  After this time the cost of registration is $325.

Is accommodation included in the cost of registration?
No.


Accommodation

How do I get to the hotel from either airport?
By taxi or both O'Hare or Midway have shuttle services that go to our hotel. These shuttle services also stop by the Knickerbocker twice every hour to go back to the airports

Are there restaurants and shopping close by?
Yes, Water Tower is just half a block away as are the shops at The Bloomingdales Building. We have too many restaurants to name that are steps away

How can I get my boarding pass printed for my return trip?
Our Sales Office is open M-F from 8:30am-5:30pm and will print it complimentary for you. Or if you are needing assistance outside of these hours, please just contact our Front Desk.

What is the weather like in Chicago in August?
During the summer season, Chicago weather becomes very humid. The humidity rises high and the temperatures fluctuate between 70°F and 90°F. The months of July and August are also considered to be the wettest months of the year in Chicago, so it is a good idea to pack accordingly.

What are your restaurant hours?
Our NiX restaurant is open from 6:30am-11am for A La Carte breakfast. NiX is also open for lunch. We have 24 hour room service available.

What is the quickest way to get to The Illinois Institute of Technology (the McCormick Tribune Building)?
It is a quick 20 minute cab ride

Is their a Fitness Facility at the hotel?
Yes, complimentary-just use your room key to access it


Travel

How do I get from O'Hare International Airport to my hotel?
There are a number of ways to get to and from O'Hare International Airport. Located just 17 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, O'Hare International Airport is accessible via local mass transit lines, regional trains and buses, downtown and suburban shuttles and interstate highways. Most ground transportation access areas are located at the main entrance for each terminal.

How do I get from Midway International Airport to my hotel?
The Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Orange Line serves the Southwest Side of Chicago and connects Midway Airport with downtown Chicago in about 30 minutes.  Please go to the Chicago Transit Authority website for further information. At the airport, follow signs from the airport terminal to the rail station.

How to get from Union Station to my hotel?
The Water Tower Express service runs conveniently from Canal and Jackson to just a few minute's walk from the Millennium Knickerbocker hotel.

Where can I leave a message for or locate someone attending the conference?
A message board shall be located at the Registration Office at the McCormick Tribune Campus Center.

How can I find out about visiting attractions in Chicago and the surrounding area and what restaurants are within walking distance?
The Go Chicago Website can assist with restaurant recommendations, attractions, theater, and entertainment information.
