IIT is conveniently located near downtown Chicago, and getting around Chicago is easy.
Whether you arrive at O'Hare International Airport or Midway International Airport, you have several choices for getting downtown. The elevated train service, nicknamed the 'El', connects both airports with the city. Catch the Blue Line next to Terminal 2 at O'Hare or the Orange Line at Midway. There are also taxis, airport shuttles, rental car and limousine service.
To reach IIT from downtown Chicago, you have the choice of the Green (35th-Bronzeville-IIT) or Red (Sox-35th) 'El' lines, Lake Shore Drive (with its picturesque views), or the Dan Ryan Expressway. For more details on these transportation methods please use the following links:
